La Marco Srl was founded in Naples in 1970 by Antonio Sito, a representative of footwear from well-known brands such as Campanile, Cillo, Albano, and Troise.
Thanks to the completely made in Italy manufacturing, made with high-quality products such as leather, suede, velvet, and varnish, the store manages to win over a significant clientele in just a few years.
Antonio, while participating in the life of the shop in Naples, continues to work as a representative, traveling both in Italy and abroad. The continuous contact with numerous business realities, both national and international, allows him to stay updated on the latest developments in the footwear sector and evaluate business opportunities elsewhere.
At the end of the 1980s, this leads him to strategically arrive in Milan, a city that was in great turmoil at the time, like the entire industrial triangle of north-western Italy, where, between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, large-scale industrialization of the Italian economy took hold.
In 1989, Antonio purchases the walls of a shop in Milan on Corso 22 Marzo, near the courthouse, a fifteen-minute walk from the Duomo, an ideal location to break into this great metropolis.
He decided to close the Naples store and to hand over the reins of the Milan store to his son Marco, while still maintaining a role in coordinating and supervising the business.
Today, the company boasts 4 retail outlets in the shopping areas and busiest parts of the city: Via Borgogna, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Via Dante, and Corso Garibaldi.
